"Shelter From the Storm" has now been played and performed at Christening and Baby Naming Ceremonies in Asia, Australia, USA, and the Netherlands, as well as the UK; "I wrote this song for my own goddaughter and performed it for the first time at her Christening - I am so thrilled that people from all over the globe can relate to this song and use it in their own celebrations. When I wrote it, I wasn't thinking about anyone or anything other than my god child and her parents, and the wonderful journey I was witness to, but as it turns out, this has been one of my post popular tracks, as so many parents and families around the globe relate to how I was feeling at the time"
"Shelter From The Storm" is on the acoustic album, Beautiful Monday. |

More recently, Dielle has enjoyed the opportunity to perform her favourite album of all time 'Tapestry' by Carole King, including some incredible titles such as 'You've Got A Friend', 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow' and 'Natural Woman'. "Carole King is just an amazing songwriter. When we perform these songs I can see from the stage how much this music has touched people's lives. This album was a huge inspiration to me to start songwriting in the first place. It is a total priviledge to perform this music, and share it with other Carole King lovers, of which there are many." | “I am inspired by things in the world that speak to me. Several of the songs I have written that people tellme they love have been about real people in my life. I wrote ‘Twinkle’ when I lost my grandfather. He was always so positive and upbeat, I didn’t want his memory to be reduced to his last weeks in hospital and the pain of losing him so suddenly. I wroteand recorded it in the week before the funeral – the hardest studio time I have ever experienced – so we could play it at the service. Ithas been an honour to hear that others who have lost love ones find comfort in the song. Twinkle is available here |

| ‘Shelter From The Storm’ was written for my god-daughter, and its debut performance was at her Christening. I am thrilled that I get requests from people all over the world to perform it at their Christenings and baby naming ceremonies – so far it has been featured in India, Norway, Holland and Australia, as well as the UK. ‘Lou’s Song’ was for my best friend and soul mate Lucille who has roamed with me through all our rites of passage. It is also a tribute to all people who are amazing friends. |

‘Diamonds’ was inspired by my time in the 3rd world. It was difficult for me to accept that often the people who were wealthy were the least generous, and the people who had next to nothing would often give everything they had.

My first love of music came from my parents, who are both musical and creative people. My Dad put a guitar in my hand when I was three, and there was always music in the house. They introduced me to their record collection, which I spent many nights with throughoutmy teenage years, as described in the song ‘Mahogany Radio’ on the Beautiful Monday album. The purist and notorious songwriters spoketo me loudest – Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Carole King, Simon andGarfunkle, The Beatles, The Eagles, The Hollies - and this was where I discovered song writing as a medium of expression. |
